Our School Programs are designed to provide kids with a hands on experience of filmmaking. They will learn the basics of script preparation, costume and set construction, camera and sound operation, as well as computer editing techniques.

Three Streams: Drama, Documentary and Digital Storytelling

Each stream offers the opportunity to develop, demonstrate and use discipline-based knowledge and skills within the following learning domains:

The Arts through creating and making, and exploring and responding;
English through Reading Writing and Speaking and Listening
Civics and Citizenship Through demonstrating understanding, and Community engagement

 

To guide students through their discovery of film production Kids on Set employ interdisciplinary knowledge described in the dimensions of:

Design, Creativity and Technology Investigating and Designing, Producing and Analysing and Evaluating.
Communication
Thinking Processes

 

Throughout the schedule, some activity will necessitate group activity. During these sessions students will test and develop:

Individual learning Managing personal learning
Building Social Relationships
Working in Teams

 

as they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to complete their film as a class.
